In my younger days i spent a lot of time underway poking holes in the ocean so to speak, doing ATON ( AIDs TO Navigation) was my favorite. I also did SAR (search and rescue) and general law Enforcement but mostly i was a Subsistence Specialist aka ran the Galley. I say mostly because I just like so many of my fellow sailors multi tasked a lot.

It was a lot of work and it was real and it was fun, but it was not always real fun ,in fact sometimes i actually hated it but it provided my family with security of knowing they would have a warm ,safe place to sleep and something to eat besides it was interesting with the travel and meeting new people not only in the communities in which we or i lived or visited but on the cutter it's self where a lot of times my shipmates would sit on the mess deck and play cards and chit chat or solve the worlds problems , yeah riiiiiiiiight anyway's we talked sometimes about nothing but our lives so that is my sea story ...what is your story ? This is not a serious topic feel free hyjack it if you like i am just a little bored tonight and i am hoping maybe someone else is too.

Now i believe i will take a break and work out on the my elliptical machine .

                Has anyone seen the show called hairy bikers on the history channel ? It is not what it sounds like it is rather entertaining a culinary travel show on two wheels with 2 funny fellow's and some interesting facts check it out some time.
